Although most chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or zero threat, several dozen are associated with serious medical problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food and lots of other ordinary products. Still, no group of consumer products is accountable to less government management than cosmetics and other personal products, including Baked Blush. While most of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products probably pose very little risk, subjection to some has been linked to major health issues, such as cancer.
