Although most chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or zero risk, dozens have been associated with severe medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and pose similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and a lot of other ordinary goods.
