Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose slight or no danger, several have been linked to serious medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
