While the majority of chemicals in cosmetics present very little or no risk, several have been associated to serious health issues, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
