Although many chemicals in cosmetic products present very little or absolutely no risk, several are associated to severe health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and many other everyday goods. But, no area of consumer goods is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Heritage Eyeshadow (Megalomania).
