Though most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose slight or absolutely no threat, some have been associated with severe medical issues, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and lead to the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and many other common products. Yet, no group of consumer products is accountable to less government management than cosmetics, including Pineapple of my Eye eye & cheek palette.
