While most chemicals in cosmetics pose limited or zero risk, several dozen are associated to serious medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and several other common items. Yet, no classification of consumer items is subject to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal care products, including CONCEALER JAR. Although many of the chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products probably present very little risk, being exposed to a few is associated with worrying health issues, including cancer.
