While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose hardly any or absolutely no risk, several have been associated with substantial medical problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
