While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or zero risk, several have been associated with significant medical issues, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and various other ordinary products.
