While most chemicals in beauty products pose little or absolutely no danger, some are linked to serious health problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics enter a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and various other ordinary goods. But, no area of consumer goods is subject to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal products, including Brow Pencil. While many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics probably present very little risk, exposure to some is associated with worrying health disorders, including cancer.
