While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or absolutely no risk, several dozen are associated to considerable medical problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and many other commonly used items. Still, no area of consumer items is susceptible to less government inspection than cosmetics and other personal products, including blusher 02 (my duo) - part 1. While many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics and personal care products probably present very little risk, being exposed to a few is linked to substantial health concerns, such as cancer.
