Although the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present little or no danger, several dozen are linked to substantial medical conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in food, water, and several other ordinary products. Yet, no type of consumer products is subject to less government direction than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (shimmer) 11. Although most of the chemicals in cosmetics almost certainly pose minimal risk, subjection to a few is linked to major health issues, including cancer.
