Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or zero threat, several have been linked with significant health problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and many other ordinary items. However, no classification of consumer items is accountable to less government management than cosmetics, including my blusher 15.
