Cosmetic chemicals invade the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and many other ordinary goods. However, no type of consumer goods is subject to less government direction than cosmetics, including my blusher (cream) 2.
