MAKEUP PRODUCTS (NON-PERMANENT)

While most chemicals in cosmetic products present slight or no threat, several are associated to significant health problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals get into a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other common products. Yet, no group of consumer products is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including my blusher (cream) 4. Though many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics and personal care products most likely pose very little risk, exposure to a few has been associated with substantial health problems, including cancer.
