MAKEUP PRODUCTS (NON-PERMANENT)

While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present limited or zero threat, several are associated to significant health conditions, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and lots of other ordinary items. Yet, no category of consumer items is accountable to less government management than cosmetics, including my highlighter (cream) 1. While many of the chemicals in cosmetics most likely present very little risk, exposure to some has been linked to worrying health issues, such as cancer.
