While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose little or absolutely no risk, several dozen are associated to significant medical issues, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals invade a person's body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other ordinary items.
