While many chemicals in cosmetics present very little or no risk, several have been associated to significant health problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals get into a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary goods.
