Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food and various other commonly used products. However, no area of consumer products is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (shimmer) 26. Although most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics very likely present little risk, exposure to a few is associated with substantial health problems, such as cancer.
