Although the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose slight or absolutely no danger, several dozen are associated to considerable medical problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and various other ordinary goods. Yet, no classification of consumer goods is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (shimmer) 31. While most of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics in all likelihood pose little risk, being exposed to a few has been linked to worrying health disorders, including cancer.
