While many chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or zero risk, several dozen are linked with significant medical problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter your body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary products.
