Although the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose minimal or zero danger, dozens have been linked to significant medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer can be found in food and a lot of other everyday items. But, no sector of consumer items is subject to less government direction than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (matte) 18.
