Although most chemicals in beauty products present limited or zero danger, dozens are associated with significant health problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food, water, and a lot of other commonly used items.
