Although most chemicals in cosmetic products present minimal or no danger, dozens have been associated to significant health conditions, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and various other everyday items. However, no group of consumer items is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (matte) 26.
