Although most chemicals in beauty products present hardly any or zero threat, dozens are linked to considerable health issues, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food and many other ordinary goods. But, no area of consumer goods is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (matte) 27.
