Though many chemicals in beauty products pose little or zero risk, dozens have been linked with considerable health problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals invade the body through the skin and inhalation, and cause the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food and lots of other common products. But, no classification of consumer products is susceptible to less government management than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (matte) 30.
