Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food and lots of other ordinary items. But, no type of consumer items is subject to less government management than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (glitter) 11.
