Though most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or absolutely no threat, several dozen have been associated to serious medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter your body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food and various other ordinary items. Still, no kind of consumer items is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (glitter) 13.
