Though most chemicals in beauty products pose very little or absolutely no risk, several are associated with considerable medical conditions, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to your body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food and many other ordinary items. But, no type of consumer items is subject to less government oversight than cosmetics, including my eyeshadow (glitter) 19.
