While most chemicals in cosmetic products present minimal or zero threat, several dozen are linked with severe health problems, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals invade a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other ordinary goods. Still, no type of consumer goods is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Flex Concealer. Although many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products almost certainly present minimal risk, subjection to some is linked to serious health problems, such as cancer.
