Though the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present very little or zero threat, several dozen are linked to considerable health problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary products.
