While many chemicals in beauty products pose limited or absolutely no risk, some are associated with serious health problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
