While most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose very little or absolutely no threat, several dozen have been associated with substantial health conditions, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics invade a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and various other everyday items. But, no sector of consumer items is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Lip Palette Vol.1 (Shade 13). While many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products most likely pose minimal risk, subjection to some has been linked to serious health disorders, such as cancer.
