Though the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present hardly any or no threat, several dozen are linked to significant medical issues, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary items.
