Though many chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or absolutely no threat, dozens are linked to serious medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food and many other everyday products. However, no area of consumer products is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal products, including Lip Palette Vol.1 (Shade 10). While many of the chemicals in cosmetics most likely pose minimal risk, exposure to some is associated with serious health problems, including cancer.
