Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose slight or no risk, several dozen have been linked to significant health conditions, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter a person's body through the skin and inhalation, and lead to similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food, water, and several other commonly used items. Yet, no area of consumer items is accountable to less government management than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Lip Palette Vol.1 (Shade 10). Although most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics almost certainly present minimal risk, subjection to a few has been linked to major health issues, including cancer.
