While many chemicals in cosmetics present very little or zero threat, several dozen have been associated to significant health issues, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in food and a lot of other everyday goods. However, no classification of consumer goods is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal products, including Lip Palette Vol.1 (Shade 7). Though many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics likely present very little risk, exposure to some is linked to major health conditions, such as cancer.
