Although most chemicals in cosmetics present slight or absolutely no risk, several dozen have been associated with serious health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and various other everyday products. Still, no type of consumer products is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Lip Palette Vol.1 (Shade 4). While many of the chemicals in cosmetics likely pose minimal risk, subjection to some is associated with substantial health disorders, such as cancer.
