Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose little or absolutely no threat, dozens are associated to severe medical problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through the skin and inhalation, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in water, food, and lots of other ordinary products.
