While many chemicals in cosmetic products pose minimal or absolutely no threat, several dozen are associated with serious medical conditions, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in food and many other common items. However, no sector of consumer items is subject to less government management than cosmetics and other personal products, including Stick Foundation (Espresso).
