Although most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present slight or zero threat, dozens have been associated to significant health problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals get into a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.
