While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or no threat, dozens are associated with considerable health conditions, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and many other everyday products. But, no classification of consumer products is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Fireside. Though many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products almost certainly present little risk, being exposed to some is associated with substantial health concerns, such as cancer.
