While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present limited or absolutely no danger, dozens are linked to substantial medical conditions, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and a lot of other common items. However, no classification of consumer items is subject to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal products, including Refill Eyeshadow (Shade Prussian Blue).
