While many chemicals in beauty products present limited or absolutely no danger, several dozen have been associated to significant health issues, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through the skin and inhalation, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food and several other ordinary products.
