While the majority of chemicals in beauty products present limited or zero risk, several dozen have been linked to serious health problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and various other ordinary products. Yet, no group of consumer products is accountable to less government management than cosmetics, including Nourishing Eye Liner.
