Although most chemicals in cosmetic products present slight or zero danger, some are linked to substantial medical conditions, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and many other everyday items.
