While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or zero danger, several dozen have been linked to considerable medical problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and lots of other commonly used goods.
