Though most chemicals in beauty products pose slight or no danger, several have been linked to severe health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics get into the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other commonly used products. However, no group of consumer products is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Copperhead.
