While most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or absolutely no danger, several dozen are associated with substantial health issues, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics get into the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other commonly used products. But, no classification of consumer products is subject to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal products, including Sculpting Pencil. While many of the chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products in all likelihood pose minimal risk, subjection to a few is linked to critical health problems, including cancer.
