While many chemicals in beauty products present little or zero danger, some have been associated with significant health conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and many other ordinary goods.
