Although the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present little or no risk, dozens have been associated to significant health issues, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other common products. But, no sector of consumer products is subject to less government direction than cosmetics, including Nail Polish (Fairytale).
