Although most chemicals in beauty products present limited or zero risk, several are associated to significant health issues, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food, water, and several other common items.
